I am a Woman Falconer! Falconry is a part of my life and personality. In no way however should anyone construe my life and writings to be the example of all falconers. This blog is about my experiences, and it includes my personal life as well. For now, I am in school and cannot practice this sport, so there is not much falconry related stuff to write about. I will fly a bird again . . . Some Day!

    Hi Sunshine, My Mum and Dad live in the hills of California, Mum says that a red tail hawke has been circling all the day without rest, except when the temperture is at it's highest and has been destress calling over and over. I was wondering if you might be able to shed some light as to why this is happening? Has she lost her family? or Maybe Owner? Is there anything they can do to help her in anyway? Mum just feels so Helpless and is getting very sad for her. Thankyou so so Much for your time, Coralee, Australia. ~:)

    Hey there! Rexie here! I see the redtail feathers and it is not what the feathers I have look like. They are dark, but on one wing, at the shoulder tip, there are some white and red feathers. Maybe this was a different bird? I'll take a picture soon and email it.
